The Making of a Doll

Here are some pictures of a doll I recently knitted.

Early on... looking more like a Veggie Tales misfit than a doll!

With arms and ears.

With legs and hair.

Wearing a dress knitted by Becca and the shoes that I made.

Wearing a dress Laura made.

Ready for adventure...cape, earmuffs, and purse also made by Laura.

  1. Wow, great job! How did you learn how to make these?

  2. Thank you!

The pattern for the doll was mostly from a book called Spud and Chloe at the Farm. I tweaked it a little bit, and Becca and Laura made the clothes without patterns.

I don't know if you or your girls knit at all, but this project wasn't too difficult. As long as you can knit in the round and do increases and decreases, you'll be able to do everything but the shoes. (Add grafting and I-cord to the list and then the shoes are fine, too.)
